Gundam Festival 2010

Gundam Festival 2010

We passed by the Gundam fair today at Compass point as love and I were on our way to go get dinner. It was really packed and I must say that there were many models up for display. I would be showing some that really caught my eye.

Upon entering be greeted by the human sized models at the entrance.

Next, would be the series that features those models from the upcoming movie coming on 30th October (Which is real soon)! I am quite excited since the Gundam movies have always been interesting in a different way, although there are many similar mobile suit movies around.

This other one is one of our favourite's as it was a really detailed model done in a Gundam hanger. If you look closely, there are even technicians walking in the place. Very life-like or realistic in a manner, which makes it so much more attractive.

Next would would be the most Chibi versions of the Gundam's - Dynasty Warrior versions! I really like the way they have those very 'angry' expressions although they are so small. But I do think that they did a good job with the backdrop of the models.

However, a special feature which would be a treat for Singaporean's would be the Merlion Gundam which was revealed. I mean, this is uniquely Singapore.

The samurai versions were really awesome as well with their gold plated wear and the authentic samurai armour on. I was attracted to this display and thought that they were impressive.

Here are a couple more very cool Gundam displays which were award winning. Of course, there were also special orders made with transparent parts and gold plates. A really nice combination.

Lastly, bask in the ambiance of a true war with the dynasty warriors all laid out in the center stage. It was a big effort to lay all the models out in battle mode and it was really interesting that the models were on rocks, horses and all. Super cool indeed as Gundam lovers got to see how a war Gundam style looked like up close.

All in all, it was a small but fulfilling event as people really saw the award winning Gundam's up close, they even had a piece of the giant Gundam from Japan itself, right on the center stage (Reminds me about the head I saw when I was in Japan)! But It was fun to also see models in pilot uniforms with all the Otaku photographers like literally hogging them wherever they went.

A fun outing for machine lovers and really, everyone can enjoy this convention.

See them around Singapore the next time.

Gadget - X Mini

X Mini

Finally got my hands on one at a discounted price from the Comex fair. Was really glad that love and I managed to find it from the crazy amount of stores set up at the IT fair. Didn't get the freaking latest one as it was crazy expensive for being so tiny, but the second generation mini was already enough to satisfy my needs for a speaker to blast out sounds. It was really worth the buy! Time to show off my mini.

Slick Front

Lit Back

Seeing the slashed price makes me just feel damn good about my buy. Kind of gives you the feeling that you were not ripped off and it was the right choice.

But well, can't wait to use it as it is just so compact and light to bring around, especially with the mini USB charging cable and velvet pouch which was provided with the sale of each set.

I'm so going to enjoy blasting music everyday from now with my new toy. Now, it would be time for everyone to send me songs so that I can use my mini to the max. Heh, packing it up for entertaining escapades to come!

Make Up - A-Solution Natural Make Up Skin Pact

A-Solution Natural Make Up Skin Pact Review

While exploring a store, I stumbled upon this product by a-solutions and was really intrigued by it's packaging as it was very obviously a Korean star embossed product (SNSD Member).

a-solutions is a great brand known for caring for troubled skin and has available products for both men and ladies. Hence, it was rare that I could dig up such an item locally and decided that I would not let the opportunity to try the product just go like that. I, as a sucker for such items, was super curious about how good this product was an hence, I ended up getting a box for myself to try out.

After I opened the pack, the container was in this vibrant pink which was ultra cute. However, inside, was something even better as I found that it contained a very soft and smooth micro-fibre powder sponge.

Not many products come with such good quality sponges and felt that it was really a good deal for the price of $16.90 which I purchased it on a 25% discount. Besides that, this was not a common brand that can be found in Singapore, and hence, I was really happy with my steal buy.

So next, it was time to test out the quality of the product. To me, the Natural Make Up Skin Pact was really worth the buy in my opinion as it came in a super sweet pink tone which was light on my skin. Besides that, the glitter sparklies in the powder itself was superb in creating a very smooth, healthy glow. Also, the feel of the micro-fibre sponge on my skin was just so pampering! However, it should also be noted that this powder provides very natural coverage and cannot be used as a foundation type base or concealer for people with really troubled skin or undertones.

Although it is suited as a finisher, the best part would be the very effective oil and sebum control effects that this light powder pact offers. It was claimed to have oil control qualities and yes, I do agree that it does really help to reduce the amount of secretion (in terms of oil on the face) greatly. I was able to still have a fresh oil-less face even after a hard day at work. Fantastic!

To conclude, I thoroughly enjoyed using the product and it has become the finishing for my make up from now. Hope that more products would be seen in the local market soon as it is something really inexpensive, yet useful for all ladies.
