Boston Day 17
The most awaited Independence Day of USA has finally reached and the whole group of us, of course, could not miss the whole event! So, we came out in the early afternoon to go to the heart of the action which was situated in Quincy as well as the Esplanade by the Charles River where the Boston Pop's were going to play and have a concert by the river that night.
Quincy Action
We headed down to initially do face painting and get lunch there. It was bustling with action and we managed to get freeby cornflakes to eat! After which, we packed some burgers to go for dinner so that we would not have to leave our 'Chooped' spot. We were told to go down to the banks of the river as early as possible although the concert would only start at 8pm that night. SO being KS Singaporeans, we headed there at 2pm with all our stuffs to literally picnic and camp for the fireworks that night.
Finally, we reach the spot where the action would take place and yeap, had lot's of time to appreciate the surroundings. I am really impressed with the Bostonian atmosphere as the parks are horrendously beautiful and their carnivals are so cool. There were nice food, popcorn, specialty drinks and lot's more!

At The Park
After exploring the area, we found this Coco Bongo's Drink store and it sold the funniest drinks. They were sold in carved coconuts that had funny faces and they had lot's of special glasses that had lights, looked like thermometers, or were gigantically huge!
The River Bay
So finally, after our VERY LONG wait, the night came and it was time.. for CELEBRATIONS! They had songs and lot's of vendors out there and thegirls bought light sabres to enhance the ambience. After swaying them around, we took mega pictures like we were shooting power out of hands, but the pictures are with Pam, so.. hahah.. sorry.
Goofing Around
After which, the climax came as we hugged each other and enjoyed the fireworks which lasted for 1/2 an hour. Awesome and touching.. cause it was like a moment that you would almot feel like an American? It was great...
Fireworks
However, after the celebrations, it was time to get back home and the only way was to... WALK. The trains would be packed and I guess we had to just exercise after the whole day of just snacking and rolling around in the grass. HAHAH. Climbed over fences to get into the expressway and yea man, I think i've been eating too much cause I felt it was super heavy when I jumped down from the fence. But anyway, Loved all our snacks, ice cream and food man. It was such a memorable experience to be able to be in another country's national day and look at how patriotic they were. End of a long long day... Rarr..
